Colindres joins Abahani

The players status committee of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) today asked Bashundhara Kings, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and Mohammedan SC to settle disputes over two national players through amicable solution.
Bashundhara Kings and Mohammedan lodged complaints against Yeasin Khan and Atikuzzaman respectively as the two players signed for Sheikh Jamal despite taking money from Kings and Mohammedan respectively.
Kings also demanded ban on Yeasin and punishment to Sheikh Jamal for violating regulations.
"Both players agreed to take money from other clubs before signing for Sheikh Jamal. As per the laws, we are trying to solve the situation through an amicable solution as the players are national assets. We have requested the club officials to settle it through discussion," the players' status committee's deputy chairman Abdur Rahim told The Daily Star after the meeting tonight.
"According to the laws, a player will be liable if the issue is not solved in an amicable manner and the player will not only be suspended but will also have to reimburse all money taken from the clubs," said Rahim.
The upcoming season is scheduled to get underway through Independence Cup on November 27.
Meanwhile, six-time premier league champions Abahani are all set to sign Costa Rica's Daniel Colindres, who had played for Bashundhara Kings in 2018-19 season, scoring 14 goals.
Abahani manager Satyajit Das Rupu confirmed that Colindres has been in process of obtaining Bangladeshi visa and is expected to arrive here before the start of Independence Cup.
