Match made in heaven: Aussie couple bat at same time
Australia national players Mitchell Starc and Alyssa Healy make the ideal power couple in cricket. Yesterday, an unprecedented event occurred as the two were seen to simultaneously bat for the Aussies.
While Starc, an ace pacer, resumed batting from his overnight score of 12 in the morning on the fifth day of the Rawalpindi Test against hosts Pakistan, meanwhile at the same time, around 13 thousand kilometers away in Mount Maunganui, premier opening batter Healy struck a 79-ball 72 against the same country as the Australia women's team comfortably chased their target of 191 in the ongoing Women's World Cup in New Zealand.
"It could be the very first such incident taken place in the cricketing history," legendary speedster Shoaib Akhtar, of Pakistan, tweeted yesterday.

Starc and Healy have previously made the news a few times for their public display mutual affection, admiration and support.
Back in 2020, four years after the couple had tied the knot, Starc decided to skip his side's dead rubber ODI against hosts South Africa and travelled to cheer for his life partner as she was set to feature in the T20 World Cup final in Melbourne.
Healy in that game had fashioned a match-winning innings -- the fastest fifty in the history of ICC event finals across formats (both men and women) – having boasted a score of 75 runs off 39 balls, laced with seven fours and five sixes.
Starc then proceeded to share Healy's triumph by tasting T20 World Cup glory last year in UAE and the couple went on to cap the excellent 2021 by bagging the Australian ODI Player of the Year awards.
Earlier this year, Starc was present in the dressing room during the last day of Women's Ashes Test, and the lovely couple was seen to share a donut and exchange adoring smiles.
