Bangladesh set Zim 477-run target after Shadman, Shanto centuries
Shadman Islam and Najmul Hossain Shanto struck unbeaten centuries as Bangladesh posted 284 for one before declaring in their second innings against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club half-an-hour before Tea on Day 4 of the one-off Test.
Shadman remained not out on 115 off 196 deliveries -- his first Test century -- while Shanto was unbeaten on 117 off 118 deliveries as Bangladesh scored quick runs before declaring. This was the elegant left-hander's second Test century.
Bangladesh scored those 284 runs in 67.4 overs at a rate of 4.19.
The only batsman to be dismissed in the second inning was Saif Hassan, who fell for a 95-ball 43 off the bowling of Richard Ngrava.
With a lead of 192 runs in the first innings, the target for Zimbabwe to win the Test is 477 runs. They will have a little more than five sessions to win or force a draw in the Test.
