Manjurul Islam Khan passes away

Former Bangladesh Chess Federation executive committee member Manjurul Islam Khan, one of the country's most sincere and hard-working organisers in the sport's history, passed away on Wednesday night in Dhaka at the age of 51.

Manjurul Islam Khan, popularly known as Tojo, was put to rest at the Jurain graveyard on Thursday and is survived by his wife. The Bangladesh Chess Federation conveyed their deepest sympathies in the wake of his sudden demise while Grand Master Neaz Morshed, among others in the chess community, also expressed their condolences.
