Mani to meet BCB boss in Dubai
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) president Ehsan Mani is set to meet Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan on the sidelines of an ICC board meeting today, PCB has confirmed via a press release.
Talks have been ongoing between the two boards over the fate of Bangladesh's tour of Pakistan, where they were originally scheduled to play three T20Is followed by a two-match Test series. The BCB yesterday retained their stance of only playing the T20I series for now and playing the Test series later as per government directives. The particular directives came due to the current unstable scenario in the Middle East, the BCB president had yesterday informed the media.
Nazmul yesterday also informed that he was travelling to Dubai today for an ICC meeting with ICC chairman Shashank Manohar. According to a PCB release, Mani will meet Nazmul in Dubai this week on the sidelines of the ICC Governance Review Committee meeting, following which the PCB will provide further updates on Bangladesh men's national cricket team's upcoming tour of Pakistan.
The PCB has sought to play the Test series first and reschedule the T20I series for a later date but according to government directives that BCB acknowledged, only a short tour is possible for the Tigers at the moment.
