BD U-19s keep Eng to 200
Right-arm medium pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib's four for 29 helped Bangladesh Under-19s restrict hosts England Under-19s to 200 for seven during their encounter in a tri-nation series -- featuring Under-19 teams from Bangladesh, England and India -- at the County Ground, New Road in Worcester yesterday.
After electing to bat, England suffered a batting collapse -- courtesy of Tanzim, who scalped the wickets of three of England's top order batsmen -- that saw the hosts reeling on six for 87 in the 27th over. A 111-run seventh-wicket stand between Lewis Goldsworthy and Kasey Aldridge helped England avert humiliation and reach a modest total. While Aldridge scored 58 off 78 balls, Goldsworthy remained unbeaten on 69 off 99.
After the exchange, Bangladesh reached 130 for the loss of three wickets after 24 overs by the time this report was filed.
