BCB to send Covid-19 management plan to CWI
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will soon be sending a Covid-19 management plan to the Cricket West Indies (CWI), who are scheduled to tour Bangladesh in January next year for three Tests, three ODIs and two T20Is.
"We are in touch with the West Indies cricket board. We will soon send them our Covid-19 management plan. Then the two boards will discuss and come to a decision," said the BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury to the media today.
After a seven-month gap due to the coronavirus, cricket in the country returned through the recently concluded 50-over BCB President's Cup. The BCB is also planning to hold a five-team T20 tournament next month maintaining the bio-secure bubble, just as they did during the BCB President's Cup.
"You have already seen the three-team tournament held. Now we are aiming to have a five-team tournament which will be followed by an international series as per the ICC FTP [Future Tour Program]. We are scheduled to host the West Indies [in January next year]," added Nizamuddin.
