style check

What is your style mantra?

I love wearing anything that is stylish, be it an outfit or an accessory. My style mantra is to wear clothes that suit me. If I feel comfortable, I can opt for very bold, trendy or even vintage outfits.

Who is your favourite star icon?

I personally don’t follow any star icons. I take inspiration from different people who I come across everyday, and their individual sense of style.

Who is your favourite fashion designer?

When it comes to bags, my go-to fashion brands are Prada and Louis Vuitton. Similarly, for sunglasses, Chanel is my favourite. I am also a fan of Dior and Dolce & Gabbana’s perfume range.

What is your regular everyday wear like?

I mostly opt for salwar kameez or jeans paired with a t-shirt or fotua, whichever I feel comfortable in.

What is your general party wear like?

I wear sarees occasionally, as I love pairing them with different accessories and going for a traditional look.  Other than that, I also like wearing kameez to parties and social events.

What are your favourite accessories?

My favourite accessories are rings, but I am also a fan of watches and bags.

What is a must-have in your bag?

My keys, wallet and phone are a few must-haves in my bag. I always make sure to carry them with me whenever I leave my house.

What is an accessory that you can live without?

I would have to say my phone. There are many people who would not be able to live without it, but I personally would not have an issue if I didn’t carry it with me at all times.

What fashion trend do you dislike?

Fashion changes and evolves, and there are many trends I dislike because they don’t suit me. I don’t believe in following trends blindly, rather I try to understand if it goes with my culture.

What fashion trend would you say is your favourite?

I love travelling as it makes me feel connected to different cultures. Whenever I travel to a new country, I buy their traditional clothes and accessories. It’s like a hobby. For instance, as soon as I landed in Scotland, I bought a traditional Scottish dress from the airport as, it gave me an insight into their culture.

What would be a fashion message you would like to give to the readers?

My fashion message to the readers would be to wear outfits that are accepted by the people around them, and suit them.
