Uma Thurman opens up about sexual assault
The Weinstein Effect has been going on full throttle ever since the acclaimed producer Harvey Weinstein was found to be a multiple-time sex offender, and eventually fired from his own company. Uma Thurman was one of the forerunners of the scandal revelation, and after quite some time she has finally began to open up about her experiences with Harvey Weinstein. "He pushed me down. He tried to shove himself on me. He tried to expose himself. He did all kinds of unpleasant things," stated Uma Thurman in a recent interview with the New York Times. She shared her experiences in detail, emphasizing on how Weinstein treated a lot of other female actors the same way, and how he got away with it because he had connections with the right people. She has also recently blamed the famous director Quentin Tarantino, who she claims was a good acquaintance of Weinstein, for involving her in a car crash during the shooting of Kill Bill.
