The Band, Baaja and Baraat of This Year's - Biggest Wedding

After months of anticipation and speculation, Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli tied the knot on 11th December. The majestic wedding ceremony took place at Borgo Finocchieto, a countryside resort in Italy which happens to be one of the most expensive holiday properties in the world. The list of attendees included only close family and friends as 'the couple wanted the wedding to be a small and cozy affair'. Soon after the ritual, gorgeous pictures of the dreamy wedding splashed all over the internet, dominating social media and news.

The newlywed lovebirds, aptly named "Virushka", looked irresistible in their wedding outfit. The person responsible for their gorgeous appearance is none other than Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who took 32 days and 67 karigars to craft what the duo wore on the wedding. Virushka's ensembles are by far the most stylish wedding outfits worn by any celebrity. Till now we have witnessed the pictures of their colourful mehendi, lovely sangeet, traditional wedding and recently, post-wedding DJ party. The pictures took Facebook and Instagram by storm and we just can not stop drooling!

With all the jaw dropping glimpse of the wedding, another very interesting thing took our notice. Virushka should also be admired for their innovative invitation cards for the upcoming reception to be held on 21st December at Durbar Hall in Delhi. The card has an attached sapling with each box of invitation. Anushka has sent her first invite to Shah Rukh Khan, and Virat to Sachin Tendulkar. Another romantic gesture of Virat that we can not but mention is his soulful singing for Anushka at their Sangeet. Virat sang Kishore Kumar's Mere Mehboob Qayamat Hogi from Mr. X, dedicating it to his beloved.

Anushka and Virat's journey to this beautiful end has unfolded some bitter story as well. This duo met during an ad shoot in 2013 for a TV commercial on Clear Shampoo. From then it did not take too long for the sparks to fly. Anushka invited Virat during India's tour to New Zealand in 2014. From cricket field to Bollywood celebrities' weddings, they were seen together rejoicing every moment. But in between 2015-16, their relationship went through some ups and downs. Anushka was repeatedly blamed for Virat's below-per showing in different cricket matches. In 2016, Virat posted a photo on Instagram saying "heartbroken" which led to the couple's fallout. However, things were back on track as both reconciled and sorted out whatever issues were there. Virat went on to thanking Anushka repeatedly for constantly pushing him to be better person.
