Three winners for Best Film Maker Award

The year-long "New Films, New Film Makers Film Festival" competition, organized jointly by Moviyana Film Society and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, came to a close recently at the National Art Gallery Auditorium through an awards ceremony held for the winners. Directors Akram Khan, Palash Rasul and Aminur Rahman Mukul were awarded as the top film makers in the competition.

Special Guests in the concluding sessions were Senior Jury Member Syed Salahuddin Zaki, Cinematographer Anwar Hossain and film maker Morshedul Islam. The opening address was made by famed director and the President of Moviyana Film Society Belayet Hossain Mamun. He also announced the inauguration of the "Cinema Five" programme, where five young film makers will receive a grant of BDT. 5 Lac every year to pursue their film making careers.
