To the Awaken Slumber
My skeleton wrapped in this tawny skin,
To Medusa, I feel akin.
Not an inch of bodily torment I feel,
Yet there's a blaze burning my veins.
My sin's suddenly rained flowers of poppies,
Not sparing any bit of my body.
Soon, my soul took off on a flight of darkness
To the horizon, in the safety of an unknown blackness.
Drifting in the void seemed so magical,
The whispers of death were not at all tragical.
How beautiful a sight to see ice gleam,
Such a beautiful insanity is this mortal dream.
