United Hospital observes World Health Day

On 7 April, World Health Day is celebrated around the world. This year the theme is 'Building a Fairer, Healthier World' by World Health Organization (WHO).

Like every year, this year United Hospital also observed World Health Day in befitting manner with the slogan of 'Live Healthy to Stay Healthy'.

Mohammad Faizur Rahman, managing director and chief executive officer of United Hospital spoke on the Health Day occasion. He emphasized on the importance of maintaining a healthy life through early health screening and preventive measures. He also said that, Covid-19 has changed people's lives including change in eating habits and hygiene. People now realize that good health is the real wealth. So we have to live a healthy life.

Dr. Shagufa Anwar, director, communication and business development of United Hospital also spoke on the occasion. At the event, consultant, physician and specialist doctors from different departments focused on the possible ways to stay away from various diseases through healthy living, regular exercise, proper diet and adequate sleep.

Directors, doctors, nurses and senior officials of various departments of the hospital were present on the occasion. On World Health Day, United Hospital is conducting a week-long social awareness campaign, including online awareness seminars at various clubs and corporate houses, Facebook live webinar and the presence of United Hospital specialist doctors at various television discussions.
