Sourav Ganguly discharged from hospital

Board of Control for Cricket in India President and former Team India skipper Sourav Ganguly was discharged from Woodland Hospital in Kolkata today, five days after he suffered a "mild" heart attack.
The 48-year-old cricket icon, who underwent a stent implant in one of his three blocked arteries, was declared "stable and clinically fit" by doctors before discharging him, reports our New Delhi correspondent.
"I am absolutely fine," Ganguly told the media before boarding his vehicle to return home in Behala locality in south Kolkata.
"I thank all the doctors, the nurses and everybody in the hospital for treating me," he added.
Ganguly was rushed to Woodland Hospital last Saturday after he complained of chest pain during a workout session.
Besides being treated by doctors of Woodland, renowned cardiac surgeon Devi Shetty had flown in from Bengaluru and attended on Ganguly in the hospital a couple of days ago.
Another eminent cardiac surgeon Ramananda Panda, who had performed the bypass surgery on former Indian PM Manmohan Singh in the past, was also consulted virtually for Ganguly.
