Body of university student found on the street in Dhaka’s Darussalam area

Police recovered body of a university student from the street in Dhaka's Darussalam area early today.

The victim was identified as Ayesha Akter, a law student of a private university.

Police suspected that she was killed after a vehicle hit her on the road, between 1:00am and 2:00am.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Sohan Ahmed, a sub-inspector of Darussalam Police Station.

Police said the deceased used to live in Rupnagar area.

Police are investigating the incident, the SI said.
