Over 500 Bangladeshis get free medical treatment, medicine in Lebanon
More than 500 Bangladeshi expatriates have been provided free medical care and medicines in Lebanon.
The service was provided by a special medical team from Bangladesh Navy deployed in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
The event was jointly organised by the Bangladesh Navy and the Bangladesh Embassy yesterday at the El Clasico Stadium in the capital, Beirut, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
On the occasion, Maj Gen Jahangir Al Mustahidur Rahman PSC, ambassador of Bangladesh to Lebanon, Captain M Zahid Hossain of BNS Sangram, and First Secretary of the Embassy Abdullah Al Mamun were present.
The Bangladeshis who came for medical treatment praised the embassy's initiative and the Bangladesh Navy's medical team.
This medical service has been useful in the current crisis in the Lebanese health sector, said the Bangladeshi expatriates.
