5 new NRB CIP members accorded reception in Oman
Bangladesh Embassy in Oman has accorded a grand reception to newly elected five members of the new executive committee of NRB CIP Association, the apex organisation of expatriate Bangladeshis.
The organisation is contributing to the expansion of trade and investment between the two countries, the flow of remittances and expatriates' welfare, said a press release.
The reception was arranged at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Muscat on Saturday (November 20) on the occasions of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Oman Mizanur Rahman, who was present in the event as the Chief Guest, handed over medals to the new five members of NRB-CIP.
The five new members are NRB-CIP General Secretary Mohammad Yasin Chowdhury, Vice President Mohammad Shahjahan Miah, Treasurer Mohammad Ashrafur Rahman, Joint Organising Secretary Hafez Mohammad Idris and Office Secretary Abul Kalam Azad.
The ambassador at the time called upon the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and expatriate business leaders around the world, including Oman, to invest in various sectors of Bangladesh, including industry, agriculture, medicine, education and IT.
He reminded the businessmen about their perfect responsibility to create more employment opportunities.
The ambassador also encouraged the Bangladeshi CIPs to contribute to the economy by utilising the various incentives and strategic positions of Oman.
Mohammad Mahtabur Rahman, president of NRB CIP Association, among others, addressed the programme.
