Professor Dr Md Golam Samdani Fakir Appointed as Vice-Chancellor of Green University

The Chancellor of the University and President of Bangladesh has appointed Professor Dr Md Golam Samdani Fakir as the Vice-Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) for the next four years. He joined on May 16, 2013.

Prior to his appointment as the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Samdani Fakir was the Acting Pro-VC and Director Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) of BRAC University since December 2012. He was also Pro-VC and Director TLC, BRAC University from 2009 to 2012.  He was Visiting Professor of SIT Graduate Institute, Brattleboro, Vermont, USA from 2006 to 2009. He also worked as Director- BRAC Training Division and was Academic Chair for Post Graduate Diploma Programme in NGO Leadership and Management under Global Partnership for NGO Studies from 1997 to 2006. He was also one of the co-founder of Global Partnership. Professor Samdani Fakir is an internationally renowned educationist, trainer and researcher with 26 years extensive professional experience in NGO management, sustainable development, social change, organisational development, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, rural development, development studies and international public health.
