Bangladesh and Nepal join newly realigned Toastmasters District 41

Bangladesh and Nepal have officially come together under the newly realigned District 41 of Toastmasters International for the 2026-2027 year, creating a stronger platform for leadership development, learning and cross-border collaboration.

The district comprises 96 Toastmasters clubs across the two countries, including 32 active clubs in Bangladesh, according to a press release.

District Director Md. Golam Dastagir Jony, DTM, of Bangladesh has assumed office as the highest volunteer leadership position within District 41. He is supported by Program Quality Director Diptee Acharya, DTM, of Nepal and Club Growth Director Ankit Goenka of Nepal.

The district leadership also includes District Administration Manager Nusrat Huda, DTM; District Parliamentarian Mohammad Zahid Hossain, DTM; Associate Program Quality Director Dr Jamal Uddin Jamy, DTM; Associate Club Growth Directors Syed Shahariath Hussain and Md Abual Kalam Azad; Associate Public Relations Manager Nazmul Haque Nafis; and Division Directors Mohammad Yeasin Ali, DTM, and Md Shek Sadi. Together with fellow district leaders from Nepal, they will support clubs and members across District 41 throughout the Toastmasters year.

Speaking on the significance of the realignment, District Director Md. Golam Dastagir Jony, DTM, said, "The coming together of Bangladesh and Nepal under District 41 is more than an administrative realignment. It is an opportunity to learn from each other, celebrate our diversity, and work together towards a common goal of empowering individuals through communication and leadership. We look forward to building stronger clubs, developing future leaders, and creating meaningful collaborations between our two countries."
