Modest finish for chess players

IM Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar and GM Niaz Murshed became 18th and 19th respectively in the men's individual section of the 4th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games which concluded in Incheon, South Korea yesterday.
Both Sagar and Niaz earned four points each from seven matches.
In the seventh and final round, Sagar drew against Mongolian GM Bayarsaikhan Gundavaa while Niaz drew against Syrian FM Mohamed Samir.
In the women's individual section, WIM Shamima Akter Liza became 19th with four points while WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin finished 26th with 3.5 points.
