Maliha, the little girl from Khulna was crowned winner of “Meridian-Channel i Khude Gaanraj”, in a grand gala of the programme at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on October 11. Apart from the crown and the Tk 5 Lac cash prize, she also received a 10-year academic scholarship from Cambrian School and College, and health insurance for all her school life from Japan-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital and Green Life Hospital.
First runner-up Sajib and second runner-up Ratul received cash prizes worth Tk 3 Lac and 2 Lac respectively, along with the scholarship and health insurances. All three winners will have CD/DVDs released from Impress Audio Vision and participate in various Channel i programmes.
The gala event's performances opened with a dance performance by underprivileged children, and included songs by past winners of the show, judges of the show Ferdous Ara, SI Tutul and Shahnaz Rahmatullah, a dance performance by the top six participants of reality show “Veet-Channel i Top Model” and this year's five finalists of Khude Gaanraj.
