Court orders confiscation of land owned by Summit director Anzuman Aziz Khan

A Dhaka court today ordered the authorities concerned to confiscate around 89.19 decimals of land worth Tk 1.46 crore owned by Anjuman Aziz Khan, wife of Summit Group chairman Muhammed Aziz Khan, in connection with corruption allegations.

The properties are located in Dhaka's Badda area, according to the Anti-Corruption Commission officials.

Judge Md Zakir Hossain of the Metropolitan Senior Special Judge's Court of Dhaka passed the order after ACC deputy director Alamgir Hossain, the head of inquiry team, submitted an application in this regard, said ACC deputy director Md Aktarul Islam.

Earlier, the court on March 9 ordered the freezing of 191 bank accounts of Aziz Khan and his family members.

Aziz Khan and his family members deposited Tk 41.74 crore in the accounts.
