Tagore and Nazrul celebrated in Thakurgaon

Tagore and Nazrul birth anniversaries were celebrated at Ranishangkail Music School in Thakurgaon last Monday. National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam's granddaughter Khilkhil Kazi attended the programme. Litterateur and executive director of Nazrul Institute, Rashid Haider; the institute's deputy director Rezauddin Stalin; cultural personality of Thakurgaon, Shahiduzzaman; regional director of Bangladesh Betar, Thakurgaon, Anwar Hossain Mridha and principal of Ranishangkail Degree College Mozamel Haque were also present at the function. Khilkhil Kazi recited two poems of Nazrul. Earlier she discussed on Nazrul's life and philosophies. Rashid Haider urged all mothers to educate their children on the history of the country. Rezauddin Stalin spoke on the necessity of closely studying the works of Tagore and Nazrul and incorporating their values and philosophies in our national life.
