Special programmes on Pahela Falgun

February 13 ushers in Falgun, the spring season of our country. Various Satellite channels will air special programmes on the first day of the Bengali Month Falgun. Here’s a run up: ntv
"Naba Falguner Diney", a variety show, will be aired on ntv at 7am. Produced by Dipu Mahmud, the programme will feature performances by artistes Sadi Mohammad, Alam Ara Minu and Shamima Alam Chinu. Dance artiste Wasek and his troupe will also perform on the show. At 2:35, recitation programme " Falguner Padaboli "will be aired. Produced by Jahangir Choudhury, noted recitation artistes Shimul Mustafa, Mahidul Islam, Pragya Laboni, Joyonto Chattopadhyay, Naila Tarannum Kakoli and Sharmin Lucky, the show will present these noted reciters. From 3pm, ntv will air the "Bosonto Utsab" live from Rabindra Sarobar. The festival, organised by Jatiyo Bosonto Udjapon Parishad, will feature songs, dances, recitation and a rally along with exhibitions of traditional food and attire. Several cultural organisations, such as Chhayanat, Surer Dhara, BAFA, Nazrul Academy, Spanadan, Dhrubotan, Nritya Nandan and Khelaghar will perform in the festival. Eminent artistes of the country will also perform. A special show on Falgun, in ntv's regular programme "Tiffiner Fa(n)key" will be aired at 5:35pm. Special TV play " Bilombito Ticket" will be aired on ATN Bangla on the first day of Falgun (February 13) at 8pm. Written by Monir Hossain and directed by Mezbah Shikdar, the play has Apurba and Bindu in the lead roles. In the play, Shovon comes to Dhaka on an office tour. While returning home, he misses his bus. Coincidentally he bumps into his former girlfriend, Swati after 12 years. Both Swati and Shovon are shaken by this sudden encounter. In a nostalic moment, they hark back to the old days. However, they are forced to face reality--that they now live in separate worlds and must return to their respective lives. However, a question remains to be answered: Can the physical distance really separate the lovers? Rtv
Rtv's Pahela Falgun special programme includes a musical programme, talk show, special TV play and live shows. " Nibir Ontorotoro Bosonto Elo Praney," a recitation programme by Bodhon Abritti Parishad, will be aired on Rtv at 9am. Produced by Wahidul Azam Tipu, the programme will be aired live from Nazrul Square stage, Chittagong. A special TV play "Jakhon Bhalobasha" will be aired at 3 pm. The play has been written and directed by Mohon Khan. Litu Anam, Bannya Mirza, Diti and Rashed Khan will act in the play. The play puts the relationship of an expatriate couple --Mita and Rana--under scrutiny. The duo encounter each other in the picturesque backdrop of Thailand. They fall madly in love. However, with the passage of time, their love affair begins to falter. In the meantime, Rana's relatives come to visit him. Rana introduces them to Mita. Mithu, Rana's younger brother, poses a query to Mita, which makes her re-evaluate her relationship with Rana. Special musical talk show "Shudhu Tomar Jonyo" will go on air on Rtv at 5:30 pm. Noted Tagore artistes Sadi Mohammad and Lily Islam will share their views on Falgun. Artistes Aniruddha Sen Gupta, Fahim Hossain and Shama Rahman will sing on the show.
