Condemn Shibir vandalism at Carmichael College

Rangpur Unnayan Parishadd and Rangpur Bar Council in separate programmes yesterday hailed the caretaker government's decision to set up a university in Rangpur.
The Parishad held a rally at Court Square where speakers including political and socio-cultural leaders said the caretaker government took an epoch making decision which political governments could not do despite demands from people.

Alam and Shahana Begum spoke at the rally.
They also formed a human chain there protesting the vandalism by Islami Chhatra Shibir activists at Carmichael College Campus on February 6.
People in hundreds joined the human chain condemning the incident.
Rangpur Bar Council held a view exchange meeting at its auditorium. With bar president Abul Kashem in the chair, speakers hoped that the caretaker government will soon take up a project to implement the decision.
