CU proctor joins office temporarily

The proctor of Chittagong University (CU) Dr Mohammad Akter Hossain joined his office yesterday after five days of his resignation on August 2.
Dr Akter said, “On request of Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Anwarul Azim Arif I shall discharge my duties until the appointment of a new proctor.”
Acting Registrar Prof Dr Mohammad Shafiul Alam said after discussion with VC, proctor Akter joined his office.
Earlier, Proctor Akter and assistant proctors Monjur Morshed, Mainul Islam, and Shipok Krishna Devnath resigned on August 2 after misbehaviour of the activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League.
However, the three assistant proctors withdrew their resignation letters upon request of the VC on August 4 but proctor did not withdraw his resignation.
