Saptarshi keeps lead

International Master Saptarshi Roy Chowdhury of India was maintaining his solo lead with 5.5 points after the end of the seventh round of the Six Seasons Grandmasters Chess Tournament at the Tulip Lounge of Uttara Club yesterday.
Grand Master Iuldachev Saidali of Uzbekistan was following his with five points while GM Dibyendu Barua of India was in third position with 4.5 points. Bangladesh GM Niaz Murshed and Praveen Kumar of India were sharing the fourth position with four points each.
In the seventh round games, Saptarshi drew with Niaz, Saidali beat FM Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar, Dibyendu beat Praveen, Sahaj Grover beat FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman Emon. Aminul Islam drew with Abu Sufian Shakil.
The eighth round games start today at 10:30am at the same place.
