Natyajan to stage “Sheshrokkha” today

Theatre troupe Natyajan will stage their acclaimed production of Rabindranath Tagore's comedy “Sheshrokkha” at the Experimental Theatre hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy today. The popular television personality of Bangladesh, Chitralekha Guha returns to the stage after a long hiatus.
The play is a comedy of errors. The plot moves forward with Indumati's affection for Gadai and Bindod's decision to marry Kamolmukhi. However, Indumati confuses Gadai with Lalit, while Gadai confuses Indu with Kadombini. Thus the story takes a humorous turn.

Chitralekha's daughter, Ornila Guha Nolok will play the role of Indumati, while Natyajan's founder, veteran thespian Tabibul Islam Babu is playing the character of Shibcharan. Tabibul Islam first donned the role of Shibcharan in 1963. Among others, Aynun Putul, Bijon Sarker, Shamim, Liton, Sheikh Sohan will play different roles.
Young director Mohsina Akhter is directing the play. She has also done the stage, light and costume design of the play, while veteran art director Uttam Guha is in charge of the creative design of the play.
