How to deal with woofs and meows!

Pets are lovely.  Be it cats or dogs, our furry little friends take a lot of the blues away from our mundane day to day lives. But not all humans share their enthusiasm for playful shenanigans, cute purrs, and sparklingeyes!

A non-pet-friendly person, even if they find pets to be balls of adorable fluffiness, tend to maintain a safe distance. What to do when a family member brings home another and you just have to deal with it?

It is natural to be intimidated and nervous by sharp teeth and claws. It does become rather unsettling when a cat looks at you and you feel as if they are gazing right at your soul, reading your darkest secrets!

Along with these, just give in to the cuteness, try and examine their heart shaped paws in case of cats, and their excited barks, in case of dogs, when they see you after a long day. Observe how they yawn, purr and stretch and settle cosily. Your heart will surely melt!

Try not to get on their bad sides. Chances are finding traces of their fur on your clothes and other belongings, having been woken up at odd times by their continuous pleas for food, and having them walk over your key board nonchalantly will definitely drive you to your edge and make you want to take them out of your house. Physical assault or losing temper should never be an option. Play nice and try to keep your belongings and yourself away from the furry little beasts.

As time passes by, you will come to realise that there is no such thing as a non-pet person. One fine morning you will find yourself lazily stroking the house pet and cooing at it as the remaining of your discomfort towards animals will fade away. They have a sure-fire way of getting you to adore them.
