Located a few lanes away from the bustle of the busy roads of Gulshan-2, this is a must try place for every coffee and tea lover. CBTL's main objectives have always remained top-notch service, good atmosphere and of course, great food. Since its opening in Bangladesh, this coffeehouse spent quite some time understanding the tastes and desires of the local clientele and has now developed a tempting and refined menu. 

To help out coffee/tea newbies, there are elaborated coffee and tea guides in the form of brochures that lay out all the details of a variety of teas and coffees from different parts of the world. Besides this, the amiable baristas of the house are always around the corner to help you pick the drink that best suits your palate. 

This brings us to the vast beverage menu that comprises of espressos, lattes, coffees, teas and the classic ice blended drinks. 

In this heat, ice blended drinks are heavenly delights that come in two categories — original and non-coffee. Mocha, Vanilla, Hazelnut, Chocolate and Caramel are the demanded flavours and are priced at Tk 380 (small) and Tk 480 (regular). 

A handful of new and refreshing drinks are in the pipeline and two of them are the Coconut Mocha, a soothing drink with tasty coconut flakes toppings and the Peach Iced Tea, which will invigorate you with the freshness of peach and jasmine tea. 

Another mouth-watering drink on the menu is the Hot Chocolate in which the key ingredient is the world famous Callebaut chocolate. Although this drink primarily falls under the 'Kids' Friendly Favourites' category, it can fulfil the deepest chocolate cravings of absolutely any chocoholic. It comes in small, regular and large sizes and costs Tk 330. 

The collection of teas is quite fascinating as well and the choices listed down include English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Matcha Latte, Moroccan Mint, Genmaicha, and many more. They are available in regular and large sizes and cost Tk 250 and Tk 300 respectively.   

The diverse food menu is variegated into a range of delectable items. The All-Day Breakfast category lets you choose from bagels and muffins to waffles and eggs benedicts. For those who are looking for a heavy yet nutritious breakfast, the Ultimate Breakfast is the ideal pick that offers a bunch of items all together and costs around Tk 620. What's more is there are more than a dozen delish add-on topping choices that will surely enhance your meal experience!

Moving on to other savoury items, you will land upon pastas, wraps, sandwiches and even burgers! The Chicken Lasagna soaked in tangy sauce and Creamy Mushroom pasta which is basically pasta with heaps of luscious white sauce, mushrooms and chicken.

Among the six different kinds of wraps on the menu, the Chicken Arabiata steals the show. Served with some salad and fries, this delicious item is quite the filler and can be bought with Tk 450. 

The sandwiches are priced between Tk 340 and Tk 580 and interestingly, they come with five different choices of bread. The Chicken Mushroom soup is a popular pick among patrons and costs Tk 450. Several lunch combos have also been recently added to the menu that are served between 12-4 PM. 

When you are up for some dessert, one item you simply cannot overlook is the Chicago Cheesecake. A spoonful of it in your mouth and it just melts away almost instantly and is hands down the softest cheesecake in town. This divine delicacy costs Tk 340 and is definitely worth it. 

Again cocoa lovers can resort to other chocolate-based desserts such as éclairs, fudge cakes, cookies and brownies, each of which will cost no more than Tk 400. Other sweet goodies include macaroons, muffins, apple pies and cupcakes.  

For patrons looking for brief business meetings and discussions, there is a separate meeting room in one corner. 

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, considered a dark horse so far, has been moving forward gradually and it is now trying to spread its globally known brand name in Bangladesh through expansions across key locations in Dhaka city. In fact, keep an eye out for the new branch that is to open up in a couple of months in Gulshan 1!
