8,000 dogs to be vaccinated in Cox’s Bazar to prevent rabies

A five-day long mass vaccination programme -- to inoculate nearly 8,000 dogs -- to prevent rabies will start from tomorrow, said Dr Mohiuddin Mohammad Alamgir, acting civil surgeon of Cox's Bazar, today.

The programme will continue till February 4, Dr Mohiuddin told reporters at the Cox's Bazar Sadar Upazila health office this morning.

A total of 44 units will implement the vaccination programme in Cox's Bazar municipality and 10 unions under the Sadar upazila, he further said.
