Beacon pharmaceuticals to provide free Covid-19 drugs to nurses, midwives of govt hospitals
Nurses and midwives are among the largest group of people providing dedicated healthcare to people in this Covid-19 pandemic.
In this ongoing global pandemic approximately 35,000 nurses and midwives are battling alongside doctors of the national healthcare sector.
As recognition, one of the leading pharmaceutical companies of the country, Beacon Pharmaceuticals Ltd, has expressed their commitment to stand beside them.
Beacon has been providing several life saving drugs used for Covid-19 treatment at an affordable price from the very beginning of this coronavirus pandemic. Beacon has announced their decision of providing Pandovir (Remdesivir), Favipira (Favipiravir) and Barinez (Baricitinib) for free for all Covid-19 infected nurses working at all government hospitals of the country. The announcement came on July 29.
The pharmaceutical has already been providing life saving drugs used in Covid-19 treatment to all the covid-19 infected doctors of the country for free since last year. On July 29, the Managing Director of Beacon Pharmaceuticals Ltd MD Ebadul Karim (MP, Brammanbaria-5), made this new announcement in the office of the Directorate General of Nursing and Midwifery, Mohakhali, Dhaka.
