Won't get salary after Aug 31 if not vaccinated by 16: AG's office staff told
Attorney General (AG) AM Amin Uddin has directed all officers and staff members at his office to receive Covid-19 vaccine by August 16, and said that those who will not get vaccinated by the deadline will not get salaries after August 31.
Md Nasir Uddin, administrative officer of the AG's office, issued a notification yesterday (August 2) to this effect under the instruction from the attorney general.
In the notice, he said the officers and staff members at the AG's office will have to submit documents regarding receiving vaccine to the office by August 31 and who will fail to do this without logical reasons will also face administrative action.
Nasir Uddin told The Daily Star that there are around 220 state law officers, including the attorney general, and 180 officers and saffers, at the AG's office.
Contacted, AG Amin Uddin told this correspondent that all the law officers including him, additional attorney generals, deputy attorney generals, assistant attorney general and most of the officers and staff members have already received Covid-19 vaccines.
The officers and staff members, who have not yet received the vaccines, must be vaccinated by August 16, he added.
