The government is going to launch a mass Covid vaccination campaign across the country from December 1 to 7 with a target to administer jabs, including booster doses, to 90 lakh people.

Shamsul Hoque, member secretary of the vaccine deployment committee of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), said this at a press briefing today.

The campaign, which will continue for six working days, has been divided into two phases -- three-day publicity campaign and three-day vaccination campaign, he said.

First, the publicity campaign will be launched in a specific area and then, vaccination will start there the following day, Shamsul mentioned.

The vaccination campaign will be conducted from 15,948 vaccination centres across the country, he added.
