No Covid-19 death in 24 hours, current positivity rate 0.79%

At least 56 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

At least 56 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

However, no Covid-19 death was reported during this period.

Total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains 29,122 and the death rate is 1.49 percent.

The current positivity rate is 0.79 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.10 percent.

Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 19,51,770, added the release.

A total of 7,087 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 596 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 1,38,44,874 and the recovery rate at 96.50 percent, added the release.
