Covid-19 spike: 232 cases in a day, positivity rate 3.88%

At least 232 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

No Covid-19 deaths have been reported for the 15th consecutive day.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains 29,131 and the death rate is 1.49 percent.

The current positivity rate is 3.88 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.77 percent.

Meanwhile, with the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 19,54,637, added the release.

A total of 5,986 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 88 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,05,504 and the recovery rate at 97.49 percent, added the release.
