Mild heat wave likely to sweep the southwest
A mild heat wave may sweep some areas in the country's southwest, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department bulletin, which will remain valid for 24 hours till 9:00am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershower with temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions," the bulletin added.
It said some isolated places in the country's north may experience moderately heavy to heavy rain.
However, the day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged.
