James and Prince Mahmud's ‘Baba’ garners praise and respect in Kolkata

"Baba" is a timeless masterpiece composed by eminent composer and lyricist Prince Mahmud, voiced by none other than 'guru' James. The song has a special place in the hearts of all Bengali speaking people, on both sides of the border. A recent performance of the song in reality show Dance Bangla Dance, has made the song viral yet again.
The song "Baba" holds an emotional attachment for the RP brothers – Pritom and Rakesh -- as they wholeheartedly performed the sequence with their wonderful performance.
The popular reality dance show, hosted by Ankush Hazra and comprised of eminent judge panels Jeet, Subhashree Ganguly and Bollywood star Govinda became numb with emotions with the breathtaking performance.
This was the first time that the RP brothers performed on the stage while their father sat and enjoyed it from the audience.
Popular Tollywood actor Jeet became emotional while recalling the emotional song.
"The song is so beautiful and the whole dance sequence come together to create this ethereal performance, that it simply entranced us," said the actor.
The show's host Ankush Hazra, also praised the song for its heartwarming tune.
"We are truly grateful to Prince Mahmud and James for gifting us such a beautiful song," Hazra added.
Prince Mahmud shared the clip from the reality show in his verified Facebook account, were many congratulated the artiste for his timeless creation.
In 2000, Prince Mahmud released a mixed album called "Harjit" which comprised of the song "Baba". The song has etched its place in Bangladeshi music history.
