15 artistes lend their voices in honour of Bangabandhu

On the occasion of National Mourning Day, the publication and unveiling of the new musical version of the time-honored song about Bangabandhu, "Jodi Raat Pohale Shona Jeto Bangabandhu More Nai" was held August 13 at 11 am.
Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud unveiled the song in a small event at his own residence. "I applaud this initiative of Gaan Bangla Television. From the very beginning, Gaan Bangla Television has been showing their commitment to the spirit of the Liberation War and the ideals of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman," he said at the event. "This channel has been presenting our music to the international audience."
Written by noted lyricist Hasan Motiur Rahman and composed by renowned composer Moloy Kumar Ganguly, the track has been re-arranged by National Award-winning music director Kaushik Hossain Taposh. The music video of this song is directed by Farzana Munny, the chairperson of Gaan Bangla Television.
Oishee, Luipa, Dola, Anika, Dora, Earnnick, Reshmi, Tashfee, Sithi Saha, Pooja, Haimanti, Putul, Jhilik, Kornia have lent their voices in the song, jointly organised by TM Productions and TM Records.
Since its inception, Gaan Bangla has presented various old and original songs based on the life, work, achievements, and struggles of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. "Sang by new-generation musicians, this 'Jodi Raat Pohale' comes with freshness while treasuring the mastery of the legends behind this composition," shares Taposh. "I have tried my best to adapt to modern trends while keeping the original essence of the song and I hope our listeners find it appealing."
