Voter turnout less than 30 percent: CEC
Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda today said the elections to the Dhaka north and south city corporations was held in a free, fair and credible manner.
In a reaction after the voting ended for the two city corporations, the CEC said this to journalists at his Election Commission office this evening.
“The voter turnout was less than 30 percent,” he also said.
There has been low voter turnout at the different polling centres across the capital.
Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukder earlier said less than 25 percent votes were cast in the elections held today.
