Man found dead at jute field in Lalmonirhat

The body of a man was recovered from a jute field in Budhar Banshertal area of Mahendranagar union in Lalmonirhat Sadar upazila.
The deceased was identified as Jobaidul Islam, 32, resident of Askarpur village in Rangpur district's Mithapukur upazila.
On information, police recovered the body yesterday morning, reports our Lalmonirhat correspondent quoting Shah Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station.
A bag full of clothes was recovered from the spot, said the OC. He said no injury mark was found on the body.
After autopsy at the morgue of Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital, the body was handed over to his family around 11:00pm last night, OC Shah Alam said.
The man might have been strangled to death, the OC said before the autopsy. However, details of the autopsy report could not be known.
A murder case was filed with Sadar Police Station, he said adding that they were investigating that how and why the man went to Lalmonirhat and who were behind the murder.
The OC expressed hope that the killers will be arrested soon.
