KU hunger strike: Two students fall sick, admitted to hospital
Two students of Khulna University, who have been on a hunger strike since Tuesday evening demanding the withdrawal of their suspension order, have been admitted to hospital after they fell sick.
Md Mubarak Hossain Noman, an 18th batch student of KU Bangla Discipline, was taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) this evening while Imamul Islam, a 17th batch student of KU History and Civilization Discipline was admitted to KMCH yesterday, said KU Registrar Prof Khan Golam Kuddus.
Later, two other students -- Mozahidul of Bangla Discipline and Jubayer Hossain of History and Civilization Discipline --started observing the hunger strike instead of the two ill students, Hazra Al Amin, a student of the university told our Khulna correspondent.
Meanwhile, the sick students sent a letter to the university authorities via KU student affairs director today seeking the withdrawal of the suspension order, the KU registrar further said.
