An easy-bike driver was found murdered in Akua Bhangarpool area of the district town early Sunday.

The deceased is Mohammad Farhad, 25, son of Megha Miah of the area.

Locals found the body in the area and informed police. The law enforcers recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The body bore several stab injury marks, said Md Kamrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station.

Quoting family members, the OC said Farhad allegedly punched a youth of the area following an altercation a few days ago. Later, the youth allegedly threatened Farhad to see him.

As a sequel to the incident, Farhad might have been killed, Kamrul said, adding that a case was filed in connection with the incident on Sunday night.
