Professor AKM Masudur Rahman ,62, head of the medicine department of Bogura TMSS Medical College and the private Rafatullah Community Hospital, died of Covid-19 today at Square Hospital in Dhaka around 6:00pm.

Md Abdur Rahim Rubel, spokesperson of the hospital, confirmed this to The Daily Star.

Masudur Rahman was the team leader of the Corona unit of the TMSS medical College and Rafatullah Community Hospital.

He tested positive for the virus on October 4. As his condition worsened he was brought to Square Hospital on October 12, said Abdur Rahim.

However, Masudur had tested corona negative yesterday. He died today while going under treatment at the ICU unit of the hospital, Rahim added.
