BGB arrests Rohingya youth with 31 gold bars
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a Rohingya youth with 31 gold bars at Palongkhali area under Ukhia upazila of Cox's Bazar on Sunday evening.

The arrestee was identified as Md Kalim of Balukhali Rohingya camp, BGB said in a press release today.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of BGB battalion-34 arrested Kalim with 31 gold bars while he was coming from Myanmar border, Lt Col Ali Haider Azad Ahmed, commanding officer of the battalion, said in the press release.
The estimated value of the gold was Tk 3.15 crore, he said.
Later, the arrestee was handed over to Ukhia police.
Azmir Hossain, sub-inspector of Ukhia Police Station, today said case filing process was underway.
