3 killed in three-way motorcycle crash in Jhenaidah

Three people were killed in a three-way motorcycle collision in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah today.

The deceased were identified as Shouvik Bishwas (28) of Jhenaidah's Kotchandpur upazila, Sohel Hossain (27) and Akram Hossain (40) of Kaliganj upazila, reports our Jhenaidah correspondent.

Sheikh Mamunur Rashid, station master of Kaliganj upazila fire service, said Shouvik was going to Kotchandpur on his motorcycle this afternoon. When he reached Patbila bus stand area around 4:00pm, another motorbike collided head on with his bike while trying to overtake a bus.

At the same time, another motorcycle coming from Kaliganj hit the two motorcycles, leaving Shouvik dead on the spot and four others injured.

Of them, Sohel and Akram were taken to Jashore Sadar Hospital where they died later, Mamunur Rashid added.
