At least 20 people were injured in a clash between two factions of local Awami League centering the by polls of Bera upazila in Pabna last night.

10 vehicles were also vandalised during the clash, reports our local correspondent, quoting police.

According to locals, AL nomination seeker Rezaul Karim Babu along with his supporters brought out a procession which then came under attack at C&B Bazar area last night by the supporters of suspended municipality mayor Abdul Baten.

Chase and counter chase took place, followed by clashes leaving at least 20 people injured, said locals.

Zillur Rahman, assistant superintendent of police of Bera circle, said the infighting took place centering a party feud.

A case was filed with Shathia police station in this connection, he added.
