A 16-year-old girl was raped again on Wednesday (November 4), nearly 26 days after she was gang-raped allegedly by ten people in Lalmonirhat on October 9.

The victim filed the rape case accusing Rabi Miah (20) with Patgram Police Station last night, reports our Lalmonirhat correspondent.

Confirming the case, Patgram Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sumon Kumar Mahanta said the accused is on the run.

Police are trying to arrest accused Rabi, a resident of Maminpur village in Patgram upazila, the OC said.

Earlier on October 9, the girl filed another rape case with Kaliganj Police Station against ten people.

The victim was sent to Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital for a medical test this morning, OC Sumon said.

Her medical examination has been completed but the test result has not been received yet, the official added.

The OC said the victim told him that she was gang-raped on October 9 on her way to Kaunia in Rangpur after being trapped by a man at Kakina station in Kaliganj.
