Biman’s all-women crew flight for women’s day

National flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines today operated an all-women crew domestic flight in commemoration of the International Women’s Day.

The flight was led by Captain Tania Reza and First Officer Sarwat Siraj Antara.
The aircraft landed at MAG Osmani Airport around 2:30pm and headed back to Dhaka at 3:20pm, our Sylhet correspondent adds quoting Hafiz Ahmed, general manager of the airport.
It made a safe landing with 160 passengers at 4:00pm, Biman spokesperson Shakil added.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon lauded the move before the flight’s departure from Dhaka and said it was a “proof of women empowerment”.
