Strict disciplinary action against those violating lockdown: Govt

Strict disciplinary action will be taken against those leaving their houses except for emergency purposes during the lockdown from 6:00am of July 1 to curb the spread of Covid-19 infection, said a government press release today.

Officials involved in emergency services will be remain out of the purview of the restrictions, said the press release issued by the Press Information Department.

The cabinet division will issue a notification containing details of the restrictions and prohibitions tomorrow, stated the release.

The government decided to impose restrictions and prohibitions on people's movement and transports across the country for seven days from 6:00am on July 1 to curb spread of Covid-19.

Everyone is requested to abide by all health rules including wearing masks, added the release.
